High-Intensity SIL Support Role – Complex Care Setting \n
\nThis is a high-responsibility Supported Independent Living (SIL) role supporting a participant with complex physical care needs in Ferntree Gully.\n
\nYou will work as part of a consistent, trained support team delivering structured, hands-on care where safety, accuracy, and calm decision-making are essential every shift.\n
\nThis is not a general disability support role. It requires experience in high physical support or complex care environments and the ability to confidently follow clinical care plans in a structured home setting.\n
What Your Shift Will Involve \n
\nYou will be responsible for delivering safe, structured care including:\n
- \n
- Providing personal care including hygiene, grooming, and daily living support \n
- Performing safe manual handling and hoist transfers (2:1 support where required) \n
- Supporting mobility using assistive equipment such as wheelchairs, pressure care mattresses, and adjustable beds \n
- Assisting with meal preparation including modified diets and dysphagia-aware support \n
- Providing continence care and supporting skin integrity management \n
- Completing pressure care routines and scheduled repositioning \n
- Monitoring participant wellbeing and escalating any changes immediately \n
- Supporting household tasks including cleaning and laundry \n
- Following detailed care plans, risk management strategies, and escalation procedures at all times \n
- Completing accurate documentation during and after shifts \n

- Experienced in high physical support, complex care, or SIL settings \n
- Comfortable following structured clinical care plans and escalation pathways \n
- Strong in communication and teamwork within care environments \n
- Committed to maintaining dignity, safety, and consistency in care delivery \n
This Role May NOT Suit You If You \n
- \n
- Prefer low-responsibility or routine-only care work \n
- Are not confident with manual handling or complex care requirements \n
- Struggle to follow structured procedures and clinical direction consistently \n
Essential Requirements \n
- \n
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Aged Care, or equivalent \n
- Experience in high physical support or complex care environments \n
- Manual handling and hoist experience \n
- Experience with personal care, continence care, and meal assistance \n
- Strong understanding of care plans, scope of practice, and escalation procedures \n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain) \n
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain) \n
- Full Australian working rights \n
Desirable Experience \n
- \n
- Experience in Supported Independent Living (SIL) settings \n
- Knowledge of dysphagia and swallowing risk management \n
- Nursing or clinical background \n
