Storeperson - Full Time

Wagon Paints has an exciting opportunity for a Store Person to join our dynamic team at our Somerton branch.

We are a well-established Australian-owned and operated company specialising in Industrial and Protective Coatings, offering stable employment and the opportunity to build a long-term career within the business.

Employment Conditions

The position will commence on a casual basis for the first 3 months as part of the probationary period, with the intention of transitioning to a permanent full-time position upon successful completion of probation.

About the Role

This is a varied, hands‑on position involving warehouse operations, colour tinting and local deliveries.

• Picking and preparing customer orders
• Receiving, storing and organising stock
• Loading and unloading goods
• Operating a forklift
• Tinting paint colours
• Delivering products to customers using a company vehicle
• General warehouse duties and housekeeping
• Assisting customers and other team members as required
• Maintaining a safe and organised workplace
• Following workplace health and safety procedures

The role involves some heavy lifting and manual handling, so a good level of physical fitness is required.

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, motivated and keen to learn.

To be successful, you will have:

• Valid Australian driver's licence – essential
• Current forklift licence – essential
• A reliable and positive attitude
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A willingness to learn about our products and the industrial coatings industry

Previous experience in Industrial Paints, Protective Coatings, paint mixing or a similar industry will be a distinct advantage.
