Reporting to the Health, Safety and Training Manager, as the Safety Coordinator at Ulan West you will :

Provide support and advice to departments in relation to Health and Safety matters to ensure compliance and understanding of the WHS Management System;

Actively participate in the preparation and monitoring of the Annual HSEC Plan and Strategy;

Facilitate and participate in Risk Assessments and incident investigations;

Participate in internal and external assurance programs and safety reporting, including end of month reporting;

Support the HST Manager in analysing site safety statistics and identify lead indicators;

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives;

Actively promote a positive Safety Culture amongst work groups.

To succeed in this role you will :

Hold a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety;

Have a thorough understanding of NSW legislative obligations relevant to WH&S and Mines and Petroleum Sites;

Demonstrate strong communication skills in dealing with internal and external stakeholders;

Have experience in facilitating incident investigations and interrogating Health and Safety data;

Thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
