Project Support Officer

Contract to 06 / 02 / 2026 with possible extension | Brisbane CBD +WFH

We’re working with a leading Queensland government client to recruit an experienced Project Support Officer. In this role you will provide admin support like data base admin, word processing, office logistics (supplies, bookings, equipment), correspondence tracking, file management, email.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Communicate with management, public, industry, executives, and staff on various issues.
  • Analyse inquiries, research, and take action for Manager and Project Director.
  • Manage Project Director's diary, schedule meetings, provide administrative support, take notes, and prepare minutes if needed.
  • Oversee correspondence & filing systems to meet deadlines & standards.
  • Support admin processes for HR, Finance, Procurement, etc., ensuring timely completion.
  • Provide Local Systems Administrator (LSA) support and any necessary training for the timesheet management system.
  • Provide records management support and guidance to section staff as required.
  • Provide Document Control support particularly regarding archiving.
  • Participate in capability development activities required to perform efficiently and effectively in the role, and assist other team members to develop new capabilities when required

What we’re looking for :

  • Demonstrated infrastructure project experience within an engineering environment
  • Proven experience in providing high-level administrative support in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of scheduling and calendar management for senior executives, including meeting coordination and minute-taking.
  • Familiarity with working within the public sector or large organisations, with a commitment to upholding confidentiality and adhering to privacy regulations.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • High-level communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholder
