Fruit Farm Worker

Job descriptionMeeting with Farm Supervisors to receive assigned tasks. Collecting and preparing equipment for daily use. Completing any pre‑start machinery checklists. Cleaning, sterilising and maintaining equipment and machinery. Performing general cultivation measures. Harvesting bananas and avocados. Sorting, grading and packing bananas and avocados. Operating machinery for bagging, pruning, weeding, slashing, mulching and fertiliser duties. Bagging banana bunches and ensuring they are secured and covered correctly. Baling bananas before bloom flowers emerge. De‑suckering, de‑leafing and stringing bananas. Maintaining and repairing irrigation lines and sprinklers. Reporting completed tasks to the farm supervisor. Additional duties may be required from time to time as required by the business.

Salary
$65,000 to $75,000 per annum.
