RPS is seeking a Power BI Developer to join a growing and vibrant team in Melbourne to assist with ICT projects for Government and Corporate clients. We require someone for an immediate start on a project and are happy to consider either a contract or permanent role as desired by the suitable candidate.Reporting to the Development Lead – Capability Systems, the Power BI Developer is responsible for enabling the business to maximize the value of their data assets by designing and building advanced analytic capabilities. This is a great opportunity to get involved in a wide variety of corporate applications and systems through the development of new and existing applications. About you

• Adept in developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports as per the business requirements.
• Proficient with inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and analysing raw data to discover useful information, inform conclusions, and support effective decision-making.
• Responsible for designing and building scalable data models and enabling advanced analytic capabilities that provide meaningful business value through easy-to-comprehend data visualizations.
• Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver relevant insights based on identified business requirements.
• Ability to work independently through unstructured tasks.
• Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills as well as written and verbal communication skills.

Experience/Qualifications Mandatory:

• Knowledge in Microsoft BI Stack - Excel, PowerBI Desktop and Online Service DAX Power M Query.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data-specific roles or similar stream.
• Relevant tertiary or industry recognised qualification.

Highly Desirable:

• Familiarity with secondary tools such as Microsoft Azure Cloud, SQL data warehouse, DevOps etc.
• NV1 Security Clearance.
