Home Care Support Worker – Uniting

Join our Home Care Team and positively impact the lives of elderly clients in Forster and Tuncurry. This permanent part‑time position (Monday‑Friday) offers a pay rate of $30.86‑$35.98 per hour plus 99c per kilometre and travel time.

About the Role

As a Uniting Home Care Worker you will play a crucial role in providing practical care for our elderly clients. You’ll empower their independence and enhance the quality of life in their own homes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation (Help at home)
  • Escort clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social activities (Transport for wellbeing)
  • Support personal hygiene, showering, dressing, meal assistance, and medication administration (Personal Care)

    • Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate III / IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience in aged or community care preferred, or a strong desire to begin a career in aged care
  • Empathetic and resourceful, embodying Uniting’s values of compassion, respect, imagination and boldness
  • Flexibility to accommodate evolving client needs and schedules
  • Provisional or full Australian driving licence and access to a fully insured, reliable vehicle
