Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service
The Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service is a large regional hospital that provides a wide range of services including emergency, general and surgical, maternity, outpatient, and outreach services. The hospital has 58 beds including flex and monitored beds. The Port Augusta Hospital also has chemotherapy services and has a Renal Dialysis Unit and a Paediatric Department, both of which are the largest outside of Adelaide. About the Role :
Under the guidance of the Regional Senior Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapist plays a vital role in delivering a comprehensive and integrated range of health services tailored to the needs of the local community. Working as part of a multi-professional team—including health professionals and service providers from other sectors—the therapist applies a combination of preventative strategies, early intervention, treatment, therapy, and evaluation approaches to support and enhance community wellbeing.
