As a Senior Program Advisor you will need to define and implement systems that encourage contractors to work safely, provide assurance that contractors are working safely.
You will play a key role in assessing the risk of a range of project activities so that priority can be given to higher risk actions.
Responsibilities include: - Proactively develop solutions as well as being able to detect issues and influence change.
- Develop and implement site specific Health, Safety Environment and Quality programs and management procedures relevant to contract delivery structure.
- Create, administer and maintain site safety governance systems and documentation that can be used across multiple projects.
- Review and audit contractor safety systems and documentation prior to the specific activity commencing. This will include providing written review feedback on contractor safety systems.
- Assessing contractor’s safe work systems prior to site works commencing
- Contribute to the development and implementation of plans regarding key health and safety strategies, issues, and risks.
- Prepare monthly Health &Safety (H&S) report including reporting against H&S performance indicators.
- Accountable for reviewing contractor Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and site-specific H&S Management Plan
- All relevant regulatory and compliance requirements related to the activities of this role, must be adhered to.
To be successful in this type of role - Cert IV & Diploma in WSHQE
- 3+ years’ experience working with WHS Programmes
- A genuine interest in the renewable energy space
- Must be an excellent communicator and able to build rapport with all key stakeholders.
- Be able to carry out meetings and presentations with both your team and the client.
- Excellent administration and computer systems
- Demonstrate a real passion for safety.
