Kitchen Hand / Sandwich Artist

The Crooked Carrot is a family owned Café in Myalup Western Australia, situated on Forrest Highway, 1.5 hours south of Perth, at the gateway to the Southwest region. Our Café & pristine grounds / playground has quickly become a well-known destination in the region. The Café is open for breakfast and lunch 7 days a week, with kitchen hours from 6.00am to 2.30pm every day.

• About the role

We are looking for a Sandwich Artist with a passion for quality food to craft sandwiches, wraps, salads, frittatas, quiches and more for our 'Ready to Go' selection. You will need to be flexible to work weekends and rostered shifts and support our dynamic kitchen team under the guidance of the Head Chef.

You will work with our team in our busy commercial kitchen, to deliver the highest standards and consistent quality from daily preparation to serving.

Your tasks & responsibilities will include :

• Creating Crooked Carrot gourmet sandwiches, wraps, salads, frittatas, quiches and more.
• Take care of daily food preparation and duties as assigned by supervisors to maintain high standards and quality.
• Cleaning and sanitising to meet food safety standards.
• Working with an established dynamic kitchen team in a fast paced environment.
• About You
• Previous experience in café, kitchen, food service or catering, will be highly regarded.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene.
• Attention to detail and ability to think on your feet and work under pressure.
• Must be available to work weekends and rostered shifts (no public holidays).
• Organised with a passion for well executed food.
• People person with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Good communication skills.

Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant, in line with the Restaurant Industry Award.
