About The Role
Accountable to the Executive Manager Operations and Strategic Communications, International Education Services (IES), the Policy and Project Officer is responsible for the development and review of strategic and operational policies and coordination of project support and implementation.
The role contributes to monitoring and identifying policy implications of emerging national and state policy issues related to international education, taking responsibility for discrete complex projects, and assisting with major projects.
The role establishes and maintains key internal and external stakeholder relationships, coordinates and undertakes a range of efficient and time‑critical business, project, quality review and administration support functions that contribute to the effective operation of the Operations and Strategic Communications team and broader IES directorate.
Additionally, the role includes coordinating administrative processes and information systems, developing, reviewing, and updating process documents and digital / manual resources as required, reviewing current work practices and processes, and making recommendations for improved efficiency and service delivery.

Special conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN–EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
ASO5 $85,790 - $95,413 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading.
