About the Role :

We're excited to welcome a new Medical Secretary / Admin Officer to our team at the brand new Icon Cancer Centre in Noosa. Join us in supporting our dedicated medical professionals and providing exceptional service to our patients and their carers. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work weekdays within the centre's business hours.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Warmly welcoming patients and collecting personal details
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Handling telephone enquiries
  • Preparing consulting rooms
  • Managing patient billing (Private Health and Medicare)
  • Monitoring patient administration care paths
  • Maintaining patient information
  • Supporting Icon's WHS Officers and committees
  • Upholding Icon's vision and values
  • Skills & Experience :

  • Experience in a similar secretary role (specialist setting desirable)
  • Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, and Private Health Insurance
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Clear communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Commitment to delivering excellent client service
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology
