The Opportunity

The Daily Advertiser, servicing Wagga and the Riverina, seeks a talented and enthusiastic photographer to join its daily news team. The Daily Advertiser appears in print six days a week and has a growing audience of digital subscribers who demand quality every day. Photography is a celebrated part of our offering and so this is an exciting opportunity to join our hard-working, creative team.

Key responsibilities of this role include :

  • Taking, editing and submitting high quality photos and videos from multiple assignments each day
  • Generation of ideas that can lead to strong photos and story leads
  • Representing The Daily Advertiser at public events with the highest level of professionalism
  • Working to direction from various members of the editorial team

You should have :

  • Technical skill and creativity through a diverse portfolio
  • Ability to work quickly under pressure and without supervision
  • Ability to file remotely and familiarity with major photo editing software
  • Negotiation skills and ability to work with a wide variety of people
  • Skills in all aspects of editorial photography, from sport to natural disasters through to studio portraits
  • Must have a driver's licence and clean driving record
