About the role :

CDC NSW is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Workshop Administrator to join our Asset Management team. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this role provides critical administrative and procurement support to ensure the efficient maintenance and operation of the depot’s bus fleet.

This position plays an important role in supporting workshop operations, coordinating procurement activities, maintaining compliance records, and assisting with reporting and audits. It is well suited to someone who enjoys working in a structured, fast-paced operational environment and takes pride in accuracy and organisation.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Generate purchase requisitions for materials and services required by the workshop
  • Issue approved purchase orders to suppliers and service providers
  • Expedite outstanding purchase orders and follow up overdue deliveries
  • Maintain accurate workshop records and documentation
  • Coordinate inspections and maintenance of workshop plant and equipment to ensure compliance requirements are met
  • Participate in internal and external audits
  • Taking minutes on monthly toolbox meeting.
  • Support the Workshop Supervisor with day-to-day administrative tasks, including roster preparation and communication
  • Promote and follow workplace health and safety procedures
  • Undertake additional duties as required

About You :

You are highly organised, proactive, and comfortable supporting operational teams in a structured environment. You enjoy working with systems, processes, and data while ensuring compliance and accuracy.

To be successful, you will have :

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Understanding of procurement processes for materials and services
  • Experience raising purchase requisitions and purchase orders
  • Experience expediting orders and coordinating suppliers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and planning ability
  • Highly regarded :

  • Experience working in a regulated or compliance-driven industry (ideally public transport, logistics, or maintenance environments)
  • Exposure to audits, inspections, or compliance reporting
