Payroll Officer

  • Full time, permanent opportunity based in Rhodes

What are we looking for?

Reporting to the Group Payroll Manager, we’re looking for a payroll team member to join us to help maintain a smooth and efficient financial operation.

Your typical day will consist of :

  • Prepare, process, reconcile accurate payments and time & attendance files for the Australian and New Zealand weekly payrolls.
  • Manage the calls and emails via the payroll Servicedesk application.
  • Provide internal reports to Stakeholders and support the Manager with additional process improvements.
  • About you?

    Essential

  • Three years working with payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of Australian PAYE, Payroll Tax and superannuation legislation
  • The principles and applications of computerised payroll systems
  • Reconciliations of pay analysed, and variances investigated and ability to analyse variances.
  • Sound organisational and confidentiality skills to prioritise work to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong numeracy to perform accurate calculations for HR Business Partners for over-payments and backpay.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excel spreadsheets and Word processing knowledge
  • Commitment to the Company’s philosophy, vision, culture, policies and procedures including the CEO behaviours & values.
  • Desirable

  • Understanding of New Zealand PAYG, ESCT tax and Kiwi saver legislation
  • ichris user knowledge
  • High volume knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Multi Enterprise Agreement understanding
