Job description

Support a large-scale multi-institutional partnership undertaking globally important marine research.

  • Incremental progression based on 12 months continuous service.
  • Full-time appointment on fixed term basis for 3 years.
  • Base salary range : $80,243 - $91,256 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

The Indian Ocean Marine Research Centre (IOMRC) is a collaboration that brings together four of Australia's leading research organisations working in and around the Indian Ocean :

Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (Fisheries)

Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS)

Oceans & Atmosphere (CSIRO)

UWA Oceans Institute

The collaboration includes the development of multi-disciplinary IOMRC collaborative research initiatives that will significantly advance Australia's marine science capacity, capability, and profile.

  • About the opportunity
  • Provide administrative and executive support and direction to IOMRC Crawley and IOMRC Watermans
  • About you
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent competency.
  • Substantial relevant senior administrative experience at an appropriate level.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team.
  • Note
  • A current "C" class driver's licence will be required by the successful applicant.
