Organisational Overview
Little Athletics NSW leads and supports the promotion, development and delivery of athletics programs for up to 35, participants between the ages of 3 and 17 years across NSW. The participants (members) take part in a range of age-modified running, jumping and throwing events at centres across the State.
Position Overview :
Working with the Partnerships & Community Manager, the Community & Inclusion Coordinator is responsible for growing Little Athletics NSW alignment with and support of the wider NSW community through strong partnerships with community organisations that align to LANSW outcomes and values. The role will also be responsible for driving inclusion initiatives that act to reduce the barriers to participation for young people who for whatever reason may not feel welcome in the Little Athletics community.
This role will require some travel throughout NSW and will require some outside of office hours work.
Key Responsibilities
Community
- Identify and establish partnerships with community organisations whose mission and values align to those of LANSW.
- Lead the implementation of agreed initiatives with community partners.
- Engage with and promote community partners, engaging with their community causes and promoting brand alignment.
- Support the Marketing and Communications Manager on the development of partner related marketing deliverables.
- Support the Partnerships and Community Manager with implementation of commercial partner obligations.
Inclusion
Develop an LANSW Inclusion Strategy to create an even more inclusive environment within Little Athletics in NSW. Inclusion initiatives focus to include (but not be limited to) Indigenous Children & their families Children with a disability Children & families from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds Children and / or family members that identify as LGBTIQA+.Act as the Project lead on the implementation of LANSW Inclusion initiatives.Implementation / Administration
Working with the Centre Support team, provide administrative management of school’s programs including processing applications, bookings, documentation and invoicing.Review and make recommendations to enhance the LANSW approach to School and / or community programs aimed at increasing Little Athletics membershipIdentification of relevant grants and submission of applications, implementation of programs / initiatives that grant funding supports and completion of acquittals.In consultation with the Centre Support Manager, identify, and apply for grants that will support the activities of Little Athletics NSW centres.Create a calendar of community activities and initiatives including Gala Days.Review and file event photos and catalogue useful images for future use (including but not limited to Partner reporting, centre marketing assets, social media use, etc)Other
Attend, support and contribute to the delivery of LANSW events as directed, including but not limited to : LANSW State Track & Field Championships LANSW State Combined Championships LANSW State Relay Championships LANSW State Primary Schools Carnival LANSW Annual Conference Zone Co WorkshopSupport other whole of organisation initiatives as directed.Other duties as required by the Partnerships & Community Manager or CEO from time to time.Support the Senior Leadership team on administration within the SIC mattersEssential Criteria
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in sports administration management, or relevant experience in a related fieldProject management experience (strongly desired)Experience, Knowledge and Skills
