Senior Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic

Location : Laverton North

Hourly Rate : $60.00 - $65.00 p.h. + penalty rates + super

About the Role

Join Australia's leading sustainable materials supplier as a Senior Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic. This leadership role involves maintaining and repairing our road transport fleet, earthmoving equipment, and machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead maintenance and repair of trucks and heavy earthmoving machinery.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, providing effective solutions.
  • Oversee inspections to ensure safety and operational standards.
  • Manage replacement of worn or damaged parts.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain accurate vehicle records.
  • Mentor and guide junior mechanics.
  • Complete all required paperwork and reports.

What We Offer

  • Attractive hourly rate from $60, plus penalties and superannuation, negotiable at interview.
  • Day shifts (6am - 4pm) and afternoon shifts (10am - 8pm), with additional hours as required.

    • Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Senior Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic with extensive experience.
  • Passionate about mentoring and developing junior team members.
  • Experience with A / C and electrical systems.
  • Committed to safety and workshop efficiency.
  • Experience with heavy equipment (trucks, earthmoving machinery) preferred.
  • Knowledge of Kenworth / Mack / Volvo (preferred but not essential).
  • Enjoys working in a clean, modern workshop.
  • Team-oriented and safety-focused.
