About the role

As a Teacher of Horticulture Trades at TAFE NSW, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the industry by inspiring and guiding the next generation of horticulture professionals. Based at our Yallah Campus, this casual position offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to share your passion and expertise with students.

You will utilise your industry experience and the latest teaching methodologies to deliver high-quality, hands-on training to students in areas such as horticulture, landscape construction, arboriculture, and sports turf management.

About You

The successful candidate will :

Hold a Certificate III in one or more of the following areas : Horticulture, Landscape Construction, Arboriculture or Sports Turf Management.
Hold the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
Have a minimum of three (3) years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
To be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer / assessor competence.

Highly Desirable

Highly desirable but not required to hold a Certificate III in either or both of the following areas : Chemical Applications
