About the role

As a Teacher of Horticulture Trades at TAFE NSW, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the industry by inspiring and guiding the next generation of horticulture professionals. Based at our Yallah Campus, this casual position offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to share your passion and expertise with students.

You will utilise your industry experience and the latest teaching methodologies to deliver high-quality, hands-on training to students in areas such as horticulture, landscape construction, arboriculture, and sports turf management.

About You

The successful candidate will :

  • Hold a Certificate III in one or more of the following areas : Horticulture, Landscape Construction, Arboriculture or Sports Turf Management.
  • Hold the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
  • To be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer / assessor competence.

Highly Desirable

  • Highly desirable but not required to hold a Certificate III in either or both of the following areas : Chemical Applications
