Leading Hand/Site Foreman

Remcon Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Leading Hand for a hands‑on role that also includes site supervision responsibilities to join our team on the Gold Coast. This is a full‑time position with a company vehicle that will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing remedial construction projects from start to finish and will also involve hands‑on work to assist in progressing the projects. As the Leading Hand/Site Foreman, you will be responsible for coordinating the work of the construction team, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and to the highest standards. Remcon is a rapidly growing company who is passionate about repairing buildings to the highest standards and going above and beyond for our clients.

Personal attributes & skills set

• Team Player with Leadership qualities
• Organised
• Experience in Concrete remediation
• Experience in Liquid Waterproofing Membrane Installation
• Experience in carpentry (highly regarded but not essential)
• Understand the complexities of construction

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out remedial tasks as above
• Supervise and coordinate the work of the construction team, delegating tasks and ensuring efficient workflow
• Monitor and maintain health and safety standards on site, conducting regular risk assessments
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns
• Prepare progress reports and provide updates to the project manager
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience as a Leading Hand
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, delegating tasks effectively
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients and stakeholders
• Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
• Relevant experience in construction
