About the Role

• Develop and implement media and communications strategies to support the company's brand and reputation, enhanced understanding of the organisation, operations, and future direction
• Provide strategic and expert advice on external positioning, complex communications, and issues management
• Deliver corporate communications support, writing speeches, briefings, and corporate publications, including the annual report
• Develop written and visual content for communications channels, including media releases, special interest articles, news stories, fact sheets, website updates, social media posts, advertisements, signage, brochures, and posters
• Create interesting and effective content across multiple channels, including social media and digital platforms as well as print and other publications
• Manage complex inquiries and responses to media, social media and customer/community enquiries
• Develop and implement media strategies and media plans

About You

• Proven ability to develop and run effective strategic communications plans
• Extensive experience in corporate communications, issues management and crisis communications
• Considerable experience working effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
• Strong storytelling, writing and editing skills across a variety of platforms with the ability to adapt writing style, tone and voice for differing audiences and channels
• Superior verbal communication and relationship-building skills
• Considerable skills in using persuasive skills to resolve problems
