Plant Mechanic

We’re currently seeking a hands-on, trade-qualified Maintenance Technician / Fitter Plant Mechanic to join our team in Jandakot WA and work both there and on customer sites.

About the role :

This role is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of machinery and equipment used for waste processing and disposal . You will perform mechanical and minor electrical repairs, diagnose and resolve equipment faults, ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures, and undertake preventive maintenance measures to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.

What You’ll Do

• Inspect, service and repair fixed plant equipment and machinery
• Troubleshoot faults and minimize downtime through proactive repairs
• Use specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot complex problems and make accurate repairs.
• Perform regular schedule preventive maintenance and safety checks
• Support new equipment installations and project upgrades
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage spare parts
• Collaborate across teams and assist other trades when needed
• Conduct on-call duties when required.
