Salary : AUD50.13 - AUD50.13 per hour + plus Super

Position Overview

Randstad is currently recruiting for multiple AO3 Service Officers for a role with Queensland State Government based in Ipswich. In this role, you will negotiate appropriate actions to recover outstanding and finalising debts. Ideally you will have a proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service in fast-paced and demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing a high-quality customer experience, you’ll approach situations with empathy and resilience.
  • Proactively supporting clients to recover debts.
  • Apply legislative knowledge to make informed decisions.
  • Educate customers of policies and repayment procedures.
  • Handle questions and complaints, escalating when needed, and keep accurate records.

We are interviewing for this role ASAP to confirm a 20th September 2025 start date. This is initially a 6 month assignment with the potential to extend. This is a standard full time working week on a rotating roster between the hours of 8am - 6pm, paying $50.13 per hour plus super.

Skills / Experience required

  • Prior experience in sales, banking, debt recovery, or dispute resolution is highly regarded.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with experience managing complex or sensitive situations.
  • Proficiency in computer systems is a must.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities, with a background in working collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in interpreting and applying relevant legislation and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Ability to build relationships and effectively engage with a diverse range of customers.
  • A highly motivated individual, focused on achieving personal goals and actively supporting team success.
  • Able to work on rotating shifts Monday-Friday 8am-6pm.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal history check to be successful for the role.
