This key role provides holistic care and spiritual support to residents, families, and staff within our residential aged care service.What you’ll do : Develop and lead a pastoral care program that supports the social, emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual wellbeing of our community.Nurture a Jesus-centred spirituality, providing opportunities for religious services, devotionals, and faith-based programs.Actively contribute to the multi-disciplinary care team, offering spiritual and pastoral insights to enrich resident care.Help create a welcoming, healthy, and hope-filled community where residents feel truly at home.Build and support a vibrant team of chaplaincy volunteers, working alongside local churches and community partners.About YouYou are passionate about offering Christ-like care and have a heart for seniors. You bring a warm, welcoming presence and can communicate faith with authenticity and understanding. You can easily collaborate within a professional care team and have the leadership skills to nurture a thriving volunteer community.You will have : A Certificate IV or higher in Pastoral Care, Chaplaincy, Christian Ministry, or a related field.At least three years’ experience in pastoral care or chaplaincy, ideally in health, aged care, or community settings.Endorsement (or the ability to be endorsed) as a Ministering Person with Churches of Christ in Queensland.Solid skills in using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).A current driver’s licence.Possess a current National Police Certificate, Blue Card (Or be willing to obtain).About UsWe are one of Australia’s largest and most diverse not-for-profit organisations, with a legacy of care and compassion spanning over 140 years.
