Salary range :   $104,297.21 – $107,224.90  (inclusive of all allowances / loadings), plus super

The position

As the Director – you will lead, inspire and mentor educators to ensure the service is providing a high-quality early childhood education in a remote Aboriginal community. You are responsible for overseeing the operations of the centre, where you will support and warmly welcome children and families.

Your ability to recognise and develop the strengths in children and your team and a commitment to work within One Tree Community Service’s spirit, purpose and values will be your key to success.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a managerial role or extensive 2IC experience.

The successful candidate will be required to act as the Nominated Supervisor, Responsible Person, and Educational Leader at the service

• Organisational skills including general organising, planning, time management, scheduling, coordinating resources and meeting deadlines
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Understanding of, and commitment to comply with the organisation’s code of ethics, vision (spirit), policies and procedures and to support the organisations culture
• Experience in building successful relationships with staff, families and community
• Experience in achieving excellence at management level in an early education and care setting
• Experience in managing staff including staff performance, recruitment and performance appraisals
• A commitment to continuous improvement and efficiencies in service delivery
• Knowledge of relevant state and commonwealth laws and regulations
