Behaviour Support Practitioner – North Western or Northern Melbourne

Craigieburn or Keilor East, VIC

A$77,200–$110,143 per annum + options to boost salary

Full time (4 days per week) – Hybrid

The Role

We are looking for experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to provide life‑changing therapy to NDIS participants. No two days will be the same. Key responsibilities include :

  • Deliver behaviour support services in diverse settings – homes, schools, playgrounds, workplaces, community centres.
  • Utilise assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving goals and maximising NDIS funding.
  • Build meaningful relationships with participants and their supports (family, carers, friends).
  • Develop and implement behaviour support plans with function‑based strategies, utilising positive behaviour support framework.
  • Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA).
  • Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges.
  • Attend weekly team meetings in the Hub; share stories of impact.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor, Master, Graduate Diploma) and relevant registration :
  • Occupational Therapist – AHPRA registration.
  • Speech Pathologist – SPA registration.
  • Social Worker – AASW membership.
  • Mental Health Nurse – AHPRA registration.
  • Psychology or related field – degree accepted.
  • Additional requirements :

  • Be deemed a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (letter evidence required).
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
  • A positive and flexible approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills and team player.
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Working with Children Check.
