The Role
As the Pilot Plant Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting our food innovation team at our Sanitarium Development & Innovation site in Cooranbong. This full-time, permanent position combines leadership with hands-on technical expertise.

You will lead and manage the pilot plant team, ensuring a positive and productive work environment while coordinating pilot trials to support R&D projects. A significant part of your role involves hands-on operation of pilot plant equipment, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Liaising with the wider R&D teams on their work program priorities and coordinating the necessary Pilot Plant team resources to support them
• Overseeing raw material supply, stock control, and basic equipment maintenance.
• Ensuring compliance with HACCP, WHS, and food safety standards.
• Driving continuous improvement and contributing to process refinement.
• Supporting team development, engagement and a constructive workplace culture.

About You

• Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to engage teams.
• Background in food manufacturing or R&D environment.
• Understanding of HACCP and WHS principles.
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on approach with mechanical aptitude and willingness to work collaboratively.
