Canberra Cyber Hub is a not-for-profit initiative supported by the ACT Government, driving the growth of Canberra’s cyber, quantum and space sectors.
It is the front-door to these sectors by connecting industry, government, education and researchers, attracting and building a strong workforce, supporting local businesses, and positioning Canberra as a national leader in cyber, quantum and space innovation.
Opportunity
As the Strategic Program Manager, you’ll help shape the future of Canberra’s cyber, quantum, and space sectors. In this pivotal role, you’ll develop and lead programs that drive industry growth, job creation, and collaboration across government, business, education, and research organisations.
You’ll turn strategic direction into action – designing and delivering programs and events, coordinating steering committees and Board meetings, and working closely with stakeholders to achieve meaningful outcomes.
- Shape and deliver innovative Canberra Cyber Hub programs by collaborating with key stakeholders across the cyber, quantum, and space sectors
- Work alongside the COO to lead high-impact projects, events, and strategic initiatives that drive sector growth in Canberra
- Establish and strengthen partnerships, positioning the Hub as the go‑to organisation for businesses engaging with the region’s tech ecosystem
The Role
Build and maintain strong relationships with Canberra’s cyber ecosystem and key stakeholdersSupport the COO in planning programs, setting objectives, and delivering key projects and eventsAssist in preparing and running governance meetings, forums, and taskforces, including capturing outcomes and following up on actionsPosition the Canberra Cyber Hub as the go‑to partner for businesses engaging with the cyber, quantum, and space sectorsMonitor and report on organisational performance and outcomes to showcase the Hub’s impactThe Ideal Person
You will have demonstrated experience in strategic planning, program design, and delivering public awareness programs, excelling in fast‑moving, adaptive environments.
You will also have :
Experience in strategic planning and delivering projectsStrong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, including working with senior leadersExcellent written and verbal communication, able to explain complex information clearlyHighly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesExperience in business development, partnerships, and sponsorshipsConfident using Microsoft Office and CRM systems to support engagement and reportingKnowledge of the tech sector and its role in regional growth and job creation is desirableSalary / Rate
$120k - $125k + 12% SuperPermanent full time – 38 hours per weekFlexibility required as out of hours business work and travel will be required to deliver events from time to timeHybrid working options offeredAdditional Benefits
