Overview

Associate Producer – Insight, SBS

Insight is Australia\'s leading discussion show for ideas and powerful first-person stories, offering a unique perspective on news and current affairs. The role supports a show Producer to produce imaginative and compelling television and to tell remarkable Australian stories.

This role is classified as Level 2 under SBS Australia\'s current Enterprise Agreement (base salary range of $68,239 – $73,916) with additional overtime allowances.

Responsibilities

  • Contact, schedule, and pre-interview guests for studio forums.
  • Collaborate with the producer to prepare briefs and structure episodes.
  • Suggest and research tape stories for inclusion in studio discussions.
  • Assist the presenter with editorial and production matters alongside the producer.
  • Support and work with online producers to develop and promote digital content.

  • An understanding and experience with creating associated content for digital media
  • An understanding of the SBS charter
