Network Engineer – Network, Systems & Security

We're seeking a hands-on Network / Technical Analyst to support the technology environment across multiple venues. This role suits someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, balancing daily operational support with project-based work across infrastructure, networking, cloud, and cybersecurity.

You'll work closely with the Head of IT to ensure stable, secure, and scalable systems that support a growing and technology-enabled organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and firewall systems.

Support and configure Windows and Linux servers, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments.

Troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues across on-premise and cloud systems.

Assist in system upgrades, patching, and hardware lifecycle management.

Cyber Security

Monitor and respond to security alerts in alignment with frameworks (Essential Eight, ISO

  • , NIST).

Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and implement remediation activities.

Support security audits and contribute to risk management plans.

Cloud & Transformation

Provide support for cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure) and assist in cloud migration projects.

Maintain accurate technical documentation — including network diagrams, DR plans, and system configurations.

Contribute to automation, monitoring, and system improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement

Act as the first point of escalation for technical issues.

Communicate clearly with non-technical users and external vendors.

Deliver high-quality, timely customer support across venues.

Collaboration & Culture

Balance BAU and project work while maintaining excellent service delivery.

Share knowledge within the IT team to foster continuous improvement.

Maintain professionalism and presentation consistent with organisational standards.

Key Requirements

3+ years' experience in infrastructure, networking, or technical support roles.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Windows Server environments.

Strong knowledge of networking (TCP / IP, VLANs, VPNs, Firewalls, DNS).

Exposure to Linux systems, scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python), and automation tools (Ansible).

Understanding of cyber security frameworks and best practices.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
