UGL Regional Linx are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Environmental Coordinator to join our committed and inclusive team for maternity leave cover.

Job Purpose

This position is responsible to work under the direction of the HSE Manager to effectively implement the UGLRL Environmental Management System.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor the UGLRL Environmental Management System.
  • Deliver environmental planning, solutions, and coordination, specifically to Routine Maintenance, Enhancement Projects or as directed by the HSE Manager.
  • Assist in the response to incidents, lead or participate in investigations relating to WHSE events.
  • Conduct site monitoring, reporting, and review the development and implementation of all Environmental Documentation for Routine Maintenance, Enhancement Projects or as directed by the HSE Manager.
  • Research public and internal databases to identify environmental risks requiring further environmental impact assessment.
  • Collate sustainability data to meet UGL Corporate reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the development of Site Environmental plans, impact assessments, reviews of environmental impact assessments.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary Qualification (Diploma or greater) in Environment and Heritage related discipline
  • Knowledge of the Commonwealth, NSW and ACT Environmental legislation
  • Awareness of ISO 9001 / 14001, ISO31000, ISO45001
  • Above average computer literacy skills
  • Customer focused, team oriented, accountable and results driven.
  • Proficient communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
