This is a public hospital which provides the following services :

Acute medical

Surgical

Rehabilitation

Maternity

Other specialty services for children and adults

The hospital has grown from a 48-bed hospital in 1990 to approximately 330 beds currently. As of 2018, the emergency department is the second busiest in the state of Queensland.
