Newcastle SLSC is an iconic community organisation

• the oldest surf lifesaving club in the Hunter region, we've been serving our local community since 1908.

Situated right on Newcastle Beach, we cater to a wide range of private functions and events and open to the public every weekend for our popular Beachlife sessions. Featuring live music, beach eats, and cheap drinks, Beachlife is the perfect atmosphere to soak up the sun, sand and surf!

• About the Role

All members of our team are cross-trained to provide service across both bar and floor areas.

In this role you will be responsible for :

• Providing high quality and friendly front-of-house service to customers and club members
• Serving a range of drinks including tap beer, wine and spirits
• Serving prepared meals and clearing tables
• Taking orders and processing transactions using our POS system
• Cleaning and restocking bar / floor service areas and equipment as needed
• Setup and packdown of the venue
• About You
• Current NSW RSA
• Comfortable in a busy, fast paced venue
• Works well as part of a small tight-knit team
• Must have weekend availability
• Bar experience preferred but not essential
