About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and innovative Administrative Officer with expertise in administration, systems and processes who not only wants to be part of this exciting initiative but is willing to work within and support a large team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional administrative support to projects and activities to ensure the administrative needs of the FYC are met, as well as regularly checking and updating information within relevant University and FYC specific databases and systems.
  • Coordinate aspects of activities within the FYC, including development and maintenance of records, processing of paperwork and ensuring all tasks are actioned in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with P&C, and other departments and colleges to gather information, stay informed and contribute to the requirements of the FYC.
  • Responsible for identifying issues and contributing to/implementing improvements in procedures and practices in the FYC in line with University policies and procedures relevant to the role.

Qualifications

  • Hold knowledge or training equivalent to: Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of an associate diploma and at least 2 years subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of a post‑trades certificate or advanced certificate and extensive relevant experience as a technician; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Be proficient in all aspects of word processing, together with the skill base to quickly gain a working knowledge of any University based system, such as VU People First, InfoVU, Allocate+, Staff Connect, Student One, Sessional Allocator and CAMS.

Salary

HEP5 $79,135 - $90,899 per annum (+ 17% super)
Employment Type: Full‑time continuing
Hours: 36.75 hours per week (1.0 FTE)
Location: Footscray Park Campus
