Design & Build are partnering with Icon Construction to source multiple supervisors for their Melbourne-based projects.

We are seeking experienced commercial site supervisors from all states & territories to ensure the delivery of top Australian talent.

Projects are located in South Yarra, Hampton, Prahran, Port Melbourne, Flemington, Footscray, Brooklyn, Box Hill & The CBD fringe, offering flexibility to candidates across most Melbourne suburbs.

The successful candidates will have a proven track record working with leading subcontractors, ensuring timely project delivery with minimal disruption to schedule & budget.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct site inductions for staff and subcontractors
  • Manage subcontractors to ensure role fulfillment
  • Monitor subcontractor performance daily regarding safety, quality, and schedule; report deficiencies to the Site Manager
  • Assist the Site Manager with project commissioning and handover, ensuring documentation is completed and provided to the Project Manager
  • Manage cost control aspects as directed by the Site Manager to meet budget targets

Desired Experience

  • Relevant trade background
  • Previous experience working for a head contractor on commercial builds over $50m is essential
  • Experience on commercial projects is highly desirable
  • Proven experience as a Foreman in structures, finishes, facades, fit-out, or civil works on commercial projects from start to finish
  • Experience managing teams and subcontractors professionally, fostering long-term relationships
  • Good understanding of health and safety legislation and effective site safety management
