Responsibilities

Nepean Hospital is seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our highly skilled Coronary Care Unit (CCU) team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast‑paced, technologically advanced Cardiac Care environment where you’ll provide specialised nursing care to patients experiencing acute and complex cardiac conditions. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based care and supporting patients and their families throughout their cardiac journey. You will provide safe, high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care to patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions, monitor and assess patients’ cardiac status, recognise and respond promptly to changes in condition, administer medications and therapies in accordance with clinical protocols and policies and collaborate with Cardiologists, Medical Officers, Allied Health Professionals and other Nursing staff to ensure coordinated patient care.

Qualifications

• Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
• Demonstrated recent experience and clinical skill in Acute Care Nursing as a registered nurse (including completion of a new graduate RN program or equivalent experience).
• Demonstrated evidence of recent experience in Coronary Care Unit / Critical Care Nursing.
• Able to perform effectively as a team member.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills – written, verbal and eMR.
• Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centred care.
• Ability to work flexible rotating roster including mornings, evenings and night shifts 7 days a week.
