Job description

DoorDash’s mission is to grow and empower local economies. By building intelligent, last-mile delivery technology for local cities, DoorDash connects people with the local businesses they care about — helping grow businesses and the communities that support those businesses. The Growth Marketing team is responsible for deploying our customer acquisition budget (CAC) across all online and offline marketing channels to meet our customer growth goals. With a focus on New Customer growth as their north star goal, the Growth team works in partnership with the local ANZ finance team to manage investment efficiency, while leveraging best practice learnings from our global counterparts.

About the Role

This role sits within the ANZ Marketing team and reports to the Head of Marketing, ANZ, and has 1x direct report (with a view to expand the team over time). As the leader of the local Growth Marketing pod, you’ll be responsible for driving acquisition-focused initiatives across Australia and New Zealand, delivering against ambitious business goals including maximising marketing efficiency, improving reach, driving incrementally and optimising conversion across the funnel.

A hands-on paid media expert, you’ll lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of media buys and promotional campaigns to acquire new customers—bringing both strategic insight and executional excellence. A strong understanding of Australian consumer behaviour and regional nuances will be key to success.

You’ll combine analytical rigour with creative thinking—translating performance data into actionable insights while developing innovative, audience-first strategies to drive growth in priority markets. You’ll be responsible for building and launching campaigns across a variety of platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Search, Display, Offline media and regional partnerships.

This is a highly cross-functional role, requiring close collaboration with Media Agencies, Creative, Analytics, Finance and Martech teams to deliver high-impact, performance-driven campaigns.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Lead campaign launches, optimisation, and reporting inclusive of creative, campaign setup, audience targeting, and budget management.
  • Maintain and monitor budget pacing and key metrics including New Customers, LTV, and CAC across performance marketing channels (e.g., Paid Search, Paid Social, Affiliate, Display, App Install Campaigns).
  • Work closely with agencies and in-house team to optimise media buying in effort to hit growth targets in a cost-effective manner.
  • Lead and measure performance across an evergreen portfolio of paid channels, but execute ad hoc strategic campaigns with separate goals and budgets as the landscape shifts.
  • Develop and implement testing strategies to improve KPIs including creative / copy A / B testing, incrementality testing, audience segmentation, ad placements, and retargeting strategy to maximise full-funnel performance.
  • Establish channel forecasts and budget recommendations, with the speed and ownership to adjust tactics and strategies quickly based on learnings and opportunities.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure Australia performance goals are met.

We’re excited about you because…

  • 10+ years of growth marketing experience including campaign strategy and planning.
  • Direct, hands-on experience managing media buying and optimisation (Paid search, Paid Social, Display), either at an agency or in-house.
  • Experience using online advertising solutions such as Google Adwords, Facebook Ad Manager, and internal performance dashboards.
  • Deep familiarity with all digital marketing metrics including CPL, CPA, CPC, CPM, LTV and ROAS as well as marketing attribution methodologies.
  • Local market knowledge of the Australian consumer and regional differences.
  • Strong Excel skills with experience building pivot tables, multi-function formulas and graphs and basic SQL.
  • Ability to work effectively with a broad spectrum of both internal team members and external vendors / partners.
  • Why You’ll Love Working at DoorDash because…
