Description

As a Merchandiser at MUJI Retail (Australia), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our household merchandise. This permanent full-time position involves managing all aspects of ordering, receiving, allocation and distribution support, inventory, and sales support. Your responsibilities will include :

Responsibilities

Develop and implement merchandising strategies for product launches, promotions, and seasonal changes, ensuring pricing aligns with both customer expectations and company objectives

Proactively analyse sales figures, customer reactions, and market trends to anticipate product needs, plan product ranges and stock, and develop sales forecasts

Monitor daily / weekly sales, gross profit, and turnover to determine and execute effective weekly merchandise action plans

Effectively communicate product information through presentations, briefings, and comprehensive knowledge training for store teams

Implement corrective measures for slow moving merchandise

Collaborate with the wider Store Support Service team, stores and 3PL

Regularly prepare merchandising reports, forecasts, RKJ and performance improvement reports

Skills and Experiences

Diploma and / or Tertiary Qualification in Business or Merchandising is highly desirable

Experience in Merchandising and / or Inventory Control within the retail industry is highly desirable

Intermediate Excel skills, PC and other MS Office Suite

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an eye for detail

Strong listening, presentation, and decision-making skills with an ability to build rapport across all organisational levels

Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to understand customer needs

Strong problem solving, organisational and analytical skills
