As the insurance division of the Rethink Group, we provide tailored property insurance solutions for commercial property investors nationwide.

We work closely with clients throughout the acquisition of premium commercial assets, delivering bespoke insurance strategies designed to protect asset value, support lender requirements, and safeguard long‑term investment outcomes.

The Role:

We are looking for a commercially minded Senior Account Executive/Insurance Broker to join the Rethink Property Insurance team, supporting our growing client portfolio of active commercial property investors. This is a full‑time role, available hybrid (offices located in the Sydney CBD or Bondi Junction) or fully remote.

This role is strongly focused on new business generated by acquisition events. You will receive weekly new business introductions to existing clients who are acquiring new commercial property assets, often within strict contract and settlement timeframes.

Your day to day involves arranging insurance across a diverse range of commercial property assets, including retail, industrial, childcare and office buildings. You’ll also manage an allocated renewal portfolio, handling renewals, endorsements, insurer negotiations and ongoing policy maintenance.

This role suits someone who thrives in a deal‑driven environment and can manage multiple transactions under settlement date pressure while maintaining strong client and insurer relationships.

What You’ll Do:

  • Write new commercial property insurance policies to support our clients’ new property acquisitions
  • Collaborate internally with buyers’ agents and Rethink internal team members to ensure a smooth, efficient settlement experience for our clients
  • Assist with full policy cycle broking tasks including policy renewals and complex endorsements
  • Place Business Package and Industrial Special Risks (ISR) policies
  • Utilise quoting platforms such as SCTP, CGU Policy Place, SafetyCultureCare and Sunrise Exchange to source competitive pricing and generate policies
  • Work closely with our Virtual Assistants & other insurance staff to streamline workflows, reduce administrative workload, and maximise focus on new business generation
  • Represent Rethink Property Insurance at social and industry events, building and maintaining strong relationships with underwriters and key stakeholders

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A Tier 1 Broking qualification, enabling you to provide advice to clients and operate under minimal supervision from your first day
  • General insurance broking experience, with a strong focus on Business Package
  • Proficiency in quoting platforms such as SCTP and Sunrise to source competitive pricing
  • Experience writing property owner ISR policies, or the ability to learn quickly in this area
  • High proficiency in workflow and task management systems (e.g. Monday.com, Zoho CRM)
  • A dedicated, distraction‑free home office setup with a reliable, high‑speed internet connection to support a remote role (office equipment will be supplied as required)
  • A sales‑driven mindset, with a proven track record of converting new business and delivering high‑quality outcomes
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively via tools such as Microsoft Teams, and a high standard of responsiveness and engagement
  • A proactive, self‑driven approach, with the ability to work autonomously while remaining highly collaborative
  • A strong work ethic and a high level of attention to detail

Bonus: Experience working within an insurer environment is advantageous, but not essential.
