About the opportunity

We have a great opportunity for a Leadership Programs Advisor to join our Learning and Development team. Reporting to the Leadership Capability Lead, this role is responsible for the coordination of learning programs and development activities, in accordance with the relevant project procedures and work instructions to support learning strategy and operational goals.

This role will be based out of our Osborne, Edinburgh Parks or Flinders St offices in SA.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia such as a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Contribute towards the ongoing design and continuous improvement of learning programs through analysis of learning evaluations, research into contemporary practices, and conducting training needs analysis for requirements identification
  • Develop program training material and ensure outputs meet all requirements, including safety and regulatory requirements
  • Support the delivery of programs by supporting the facilitator pool’s continuous professional development and product knowledge. Where appropriate, conduct and deliver program content
  • Coordinate the delivery of learning programs, including logistics, communication with participants and other assigned activities in accordance with identified objectives and standards
  • Develop training related documentation in accordance with appropriate standards
  • Report on the implementation, success, evaluation and completion of learning programs
  • Provide regular status information to the relevant supervisors as required

  • Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguity, ask thoughtful questions, and quickly build an understanding of new environments

  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with a track record of managing multiple tasks and priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and confidently
  • A positive, solutions-focused attitude and the ability to remain composed and dependable under pressure
  • Experience coordinating training, learning programs, or similar complex activities (highly regarded, but not essential)
  • Familiarity with learning design principles (e.g., ADDIE) or a willingness and capability to learn quickly
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment (desirable, not essential)
  • Eligibility for a Negative Vetting Level 1 Defence security clearance
