  • Are you eager to kick-start your career in a dynamic and supportive environment? TAFE Gippsland is looking for a motivated and detail-orientated Graduate Accountant to join our Finance Team.

    About the Role

    As a Graduate Accountant, you will report to the Manager Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis and assist in producing financial reports, maintaining accounting records, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your career in accounting within the Gippsland region.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with financial close processes, including preparing general ledger journals, reconciling accounts, and uncovering key insights.
    • Support the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, translating numbers into meaningful reports that drive business decisions.
    • Assist with Accounts Payable and Receivable processing, invoice recording and debt collection.
    • Contribute to internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with tax obligations(BAS, FBT) while identifying trends and efficiencies.
    • About You

    • Currently undertaking a Diploma of Accounting, or alternatively near completion of or enrolled in a degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Business Management (or equivalent).
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Comfortable using Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Mandatory Requirements

    • Current Drivers Licence
    • Valid Working with Children Clearance
    • National Police Check (less than 12 months old)
