Reporting through the District Operations Manager are Area Operations Managers (AOMs), each responsible for a group of concrete plants under their supervision. In addition this role will be responsible for the Site / Project Coordinators, Project Managers of key projects and would be the escalation point, managing the interface between, commercial, operations and logistics for these projects. The role focuses on operational efficiency, project management, people leadership, continuous improvement, and delivering superior customer service standards. This position requires a strategic leader capable of developing talent, ensuring operational excellence, and driving performance across the district of plants. This role is pivotal in enhancing our project capabilities, serving as a key operational liaison with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors. It will drive the continued development of large-scale project execution while ensuring seamless collaboration, operational excellence, and superior service delivery.You will be responsible for :

  • Develop strategic operational plans and budgets for the district.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports to the Regional Operations Manager, including variance analysis and action plans.
  • Deliver district-level / plant operational budgets, ensuring cost efficiencies across production, maintenance, and distribution.
  • Directly manage and coach Area Operations Managers (AOMs), ensuring clear accountability for plant performance and team development.
  • Oversee and report on financial performance, identifying and implementing cost-reduction strategies.
  • Leading a diverse team to maintain safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations across multiple plants while fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Deliver exceptional customer satisfaction by aligning operational performance with client expectations.
  • Drive innovation and operational improvements in a competitive and evolving market.
  • Driving continuous improvement in plant performance, cost control, and team capability.
  • Managing competing priorities and resources to achieve district and organisational goals. About you :
  • Degree in a related discipline (Engineering, Business Management, or Operations) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in construction-related industries, preferably concrete or aggregates.
  • Proven leadership experience managing multi-site operations.
  • Hands-on experience in operational improvement, cost management, and SHE compliance.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills.
  • Experience in SAP, Excel, Word, MS Project
  • Well-developed leadership and team building skills
