Since 2011, Raytheon Australia have been contracted to deliver facilities services in support of the Harold E. Holt (HEH) Defence Precinct in Exmouth, Western Australia gateway to the world‑class Ningaloo reef. HEH is home to the Space Surveillance Telescope (SST), the C‑Band Radar and Very Low Frequency (VLF) radio transmission capability, together these systems add a critical contribution to Australia's space domain awareness and battlespace awareness missions.

To support our mission, Raytheon is currently seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer who is ready to join a diverse, talented, and enthusiastic team of engineering professionals at Mawson Lakes, SA. Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working closely with the SST and C‑Band Supervisors, your prime responsibility is to support and sustain one of the most sensitive telescopes in the world. Other duties include supporting the Senior Electrical Engineer in the sustainment of the wider SST and C‑Band facilities, which includes power generation, power distribution, optics, radar, plant equipment and control systems.

You will assist in complex fault rectification, electrical design, and sustainment activities to assure the NCSHEH electrical asset operational performance and governance is maintained in accordance with Australian electrical standards & WA state legislation.
