Job description

The role :

  • Work as an effective member of the community physiotherapy team in the assessment, planning and delivery of physiotherapy services for clients and their carers in Northern Tasmania. In consultation with the Team Leader - Community Physiotherapy and members of the physiotherapy team, ensure that services are delivered according to best practice standards and in accordance with organisational policies and professional codes of conduct. Contribute to health promotion and prevention initiatives within the region.

  • Some travel between Primary health North sites, ensures you get variety in your caseload as well as getting to see Northern Tasmania.

  • Details of Appointment

    Fixed term, casual, day worker position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for a period of 24 months.

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
  • Salary :  $103,608 - $119,431 pro rata, per annum + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging

  • Please note that access to salaries beyond $111,964 is subject to qualifications and / or application to the personal upgrade scheme
  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
  • Eligibility :

    Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria :

  • Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
  • Tertiary qualification / program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
  • Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable :

  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted :

  • Conviction checks in the following areas :
  • crimes of violence
  • sex related offences
  • serious drug offences
  • crimes involving dishonesty
  • serious traffic offences
  • Identification check
  • Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
