About Karara

Bis operates the site’s innovative mobile Tailings Storage Facility (TSF), the first of its kind in Australia. Operating 24 / 7, the system stacks up to 9 Mtpa of dry tailings, delivering a safer, more cost‑effective, and environmentally sustainable solution through reduced water use and a smaller footprint.
Our Karara team of around 30 includes fixed and mobile plant operators, HV electricians, and heavy‑duty fitters.
