  • Responsibilities
  • Classroom Support
  • Work alongside teachers to assist students with their learning, provide one-on-one or small group support, and help manage classroom activities.
  • Kitchen Assistance
  • Help prepare and serve meals in the school kitchen, maintain cleanliness, and ensure the kitchen / dining area is tidy after meals.
  • Facilities Upkeep
  • Assist in setting up classrooms and common areas each day and perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe, organized learning environment.
  • General Support
  • Provide additional support as needed around the school - this may include preparing learning materials, assisting with school events, or other tasks to help staff and students.
  • Key Requirements
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC) & Police Check
  • A valid WWCC and police clearance are required prior to commencing (or willingness to obtain them promptly).
  • First Aid Certification
  • Current first aid certification (or willingness to obtain one - the college can assist with arranging first aid training if needed).
  • Computer Skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Professional & Positive Attitude
  • A professional demeanour with a willingness to learn, a positive outlook, and a respectful approach to students and staff.
  • Youth Engagement Ability
  • Patience and the ability to work effectively with students who are at risk of disengagement, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Flexible Schedule
  • This is a volunteer position with flexible availability Monday to Friday, approximately 9 : 00am-5 : 00pm. We are willing to work with your schedule within these hours (you can commit to specific days or half-days that suit your availability).

  • Enjoy complimentary meals on site during your volunteer days, prepared in our school kitchen.
  • Training & Development
  • Receive free training, including the opportunity to obtain First Aid certification if you don't already have it. We provide orientation and ongoing support to help you succeed in the role.

  • Gain hands-on experience in an educational setting, working closely with teachers and support staff. This is a great opportunity to develop skills in education support, youth work, and community service.
