As a Cultural Heritage Support Officer, you'll provide essential administrative and logistical support to Powerlink's Cultural Heritage team. This role is pivotal in facilitating engagement with Traditional Owner groups, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure compliance with cultural heritage obligations and support the implementation of Powerlink's Reconciliation Action Plan. You will also :

  • Support Cultural Heritage Officers in engaging with Traditional Owner groups and stakeholders, coordinating meetings, managing logistics, budgets, and schedules.
  • Maintain Cultural Heritage databases and records, ensuring governance and compliance requirements are met.
  • Assist with financial processes including invoicing and purchasing, liaising with Administrative Support for reconciliation and stakeholder responses.
  • Organise travel, meetings, and catering; prepare agendas, minutes, and proofread / edit information.
  • Provide high-level support for Cultural Heritage team initiatives, including liaison with Traditional Owner groups and external stakeholders.
  • Respond to internal queries on Cultural Heritage matters, conduct database searches, and prepare timely responses.
  • Assist in workflow administration and provide training and guidance to support team effectiveness.

    Your expertise

  • Certificate IV in Business Administration or related discipline, or lesser qualification when coupled with significant experience within an administration environment
  • Experience in project, accounts, or administrative support roles, with a focus on process improvement.
  • Ability to recognise and respond to sensitive Traditional Owner and stakeholder issues.
  • Experience in working in diverse and cross functional teams
  • We'd also love you to have :

  • Experience in working with First Nations People and liaising with Traditional Owner groups and their representatives
  • Experience in working in remote or rural environments
