Program Director – Paediatric Palliative Care and Hospice Service
HSO Level G10 $158,564 - $167,547 per annum
This is a Permanent Full Time appointment. This role is based at the Sandcastles (Boodja Mia) WA Children’s Hospice, with regular presence at Perth Children\'s Hospital according to operational needs.
About the Role
The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is seeking a senior leader with a strong commitment to service excellence and family-centred care to join our Paediatric Palliative Care and Hospice Service (PPC & HSS) team as Program Director .
This is a rare and significant opportunity to provide strategic leadership to :
Working in close partnership with the Head of Department you will guide the development of contemporary, evidence-based models of care informed by national and international benchmarks while supporting innovation, research, collaboration and continuous improvement across the service.
With a strong focus on equity of access for regional families, you will also provide statewide oversight of paediatric palliative care delivery, including integration between hospital, community and hospice care, and collaboration with local teams to enable children to live as well as possible, and closer to home where appropriate.
Your ability to develop strong and effective relationships with stakeholders across health services, government, philanthropic, community and external partners will be key to success in this role.

About the Sandcastles (Boodja Mia) Children’s Hospice
Due to commence operations mid 2026, this purpose-built, world-class paediatric hospice, located on the stunning Western Australian coast, offers statewide specialist paediatric palliative care services for children and young people (0–18 years) who are living with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and their families.
This state-of-the-art, 7-bed facility will be the first of its kind in Western Australia, providing specialised palliative care for children living with life limiting conditions aged from birth to 18 years within a peaceful, home-like setting that prioritises comfort, dignity and connection.
