Job description

D'Orsogna started in 1949 as a small family corner butcher shop in West Perth and it has been making quality hams and continental salami products for more than 60 years.

D’orsogna has a production factory located in Palmyra WA.

D’Orsogna is now looking for a talented Fitter to join their team in the factory.

The right candidate will be responsible for :

Study and interpret drawings and sketches;
Construct structural components from raw materials;
Inspect fabricated components to ensure that they are the correct size;
Replacing damaged or defective structural components as needed;
Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and fit materials;
Utilizing shears, power saws, cutting torches, and chipper knives to cut structural components as needed;
Find solutions to assist in the continuous improvement of respective equipment and machinery;
Using welding equipment and hand tools like ball-peen hammer, hack saw, and steel ruler while constructing structural components
Drilling, machining and milling material and metals by following instructions;
Manually creating fitting component;
Fitting and assembling metal parts and tools;
Weld, assemble and construct mechanical and structural systems;
Preparation and pre-assembly of mechanical equipment prior to installation;
Demonstrate safe use of all hand tools and equipment associated with mechanical installation activities;

About you :

At least 3 years of experience as a Fitter;

Strong mechanical skills;

Ability to work unsupervised;

Ability to read and interpret drawings;

Strong ability to use manual and power tools;

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
