Mechanical Engineer

Overview

NES Fircroft are looking for a Mechanical Engineer on a FIFO basis to support a Tier 1 mining operator through plant maintenance, mechanical integrity, and reliability programs. The role ensures equipment performance, safe operation, and operational efficiency across mine and processing assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and operations teams with mechanical solutions.
• Support classified plant enquiries and understanding of pressure equipment.
• Involvement in on site maintenance projects involving site visits, management of consultants and technical engineering support to customer base.
• Support mechanical principal engineering in maintaining site technical standards and supporting customers under all requirements.
• Implement and maintain asset management and reliability programs (preventive maintenance, RCA, condition monitoring).
• Perform mechanical design reviews, calculations, and specification checks.
• Assist in capital projects and equipment upgrades.
